Dr Monique Ryan urges Jason Clare to take the meeting!

Great news! Dr Monique Ryan has contacted Federal Education Minister Jason Clare and urged him to meet with us to receive our petition to mandate teacher-librarians. This is great news because this is very much a national issue. We are hearing stories from across the country of schools removing TLs and closing libraries. It needs to be a total priority to ensure all kids have access to a fully funded library with a qualified teacher- librarian. If we want to get serious about turning around the decline in literacy we need TLs to help foster a love of reading in our young people.
