Hi all, I wanted to let you know that we now have 5 signatures on this petition. Thank you so much for your support!
Would you help me get more signatures by sharing this petition with ten other people on social media? Facebook groups, SMS chats, Twitter, email and WhatsApp all work great. If more of us sign, we can’t be ignored!
Thanks again for supporting this cause.
Additionally, you can continue to support by contacting your local representative for the Ohio House and Ohio Senate.
If you are not sure who represents you at the state level for your district you may place your address into this website.
https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/members/district-maps
While there is a contact form for your representative on each the house and the senate website for the state of Ohio, many of these get filtered out to be "dealt with later." It is advised that you use the direct e-mail. The direct e-mail addresses are actually really simple.
For the house it's Rep#@ohiohouse.gov
So if you're district 4 for the house, it'd Rep4@ohiohouse.gov
For Senate it is ALSO Rep#[at]OhioHouse.gov so, if you're in say, district 16, your Representative's e-mail is Rep16@ohiosenate.gov
You may wish to use a script, and to that end, I have written a script!

Hello [REPRESENTATIVE],
My name is [YOURNAME], and I live within your district.
As you know for many Ohioan's the latest results in the election may seem worrying and daunting. Though something has constantly and regularly stuck out to me in recent years on just about every chance I've had the privilege to vote on a state-wide issue. Ballot wording and/or verbiage.
Recently the state failed to pass an anti-gerrymandering amendment that was proposed and would be advantageous in benefiting the state and our nation as a whole.
I personally believe that a major reason for this was the largely misleading language. I directly reviewed and wrote up comparison pieces between ballot language and the actual amendment proposed and it was full of half truths, intentionally wrong definitions (it specifically defined ranked choice incorrectly) and held negative connotations and had leaning ideals forced upon it.
As you know Frank LaRose and his team's ballot language has done this before, with the amendment the majority party tried to push changing the way ballot measures get introduced (through an illegal special election I might add,) and the abortion rights amendment. I highly doubt this will be the last time.
This, I believe, has regularly created a situation in which the actual will of the peoples of Ohio are not properly or accurately represented, and have not been for some time, as many constituents may not take the time, as I did, to read amendment language, and merely read what is on the ballot.
As such, I have created this petition on Change.org: https://www.change.org/InformedVoteOhio and I would absolutely love your support so that we can ensure the future of voting in our state is truly fair, and transparent.
Thank you for your time.
A concerned citizen.
