Mandate Medicaid Coverage for All Terminally Ill or Disabled Children in Ohio

Mandate Medicaid Coverage for All Terminally Ill or Disabled Children in Ohio
The Issue
My grandson, a brave young boy battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, requires full-time care. His condition is not only physically debilitating but also financially draining. Like him, many children in Ohio are suffering from terminal illnesses or disabilities and are in dire need of comprehensive medical coverage.
Despite the critical nature of their conditions, not all are granted Medicaid. This leaves families with limited options and often results in delayed or inadequate treatment for these vulnerable children. In Ohio alone, approximately 15% of children have special healthcare needs (source: National Survey of Children's Health). Yet the existing system fails to ensure that they receive the necessary medical attention and help.
This petition seeks to mandate that all children terminally ill or disabled are able to receive Medicaid in a timely manner. Also all healthcare providers within Ohio accept Medicaid for terminally ill or disabled children. It is a call to our legislators and health authorities to prioritize our children's health over bureaucratic red tape.
Our state must ensure that no child is denied access to life-saving treatments due to financial constraints or administrative hurdles. Let us stand together for the rights of these young fighters who deserve every chance at life they can get and for the parents who have had to make life changing decisions just to care for these children. When the financial burdens becomes so big it bankrupts them and makes an already mournful life, just that much harder.
Please sign this petition and help us make a difference in their lives.
