I am a resident of Bridgend, living with Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have close friends who also grapple with various mental health conditions. We are not alone in our struggles - mental health issues are a widespread concern across the UK. According to the Mental Health Foundation, one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem each year.

Despite these staggering numbers, obtaining urgent help when needed is often a daunting task due to inadequate resources and understaffed facilities. This lack of immediate assistance can lead to devastating consequences for those suffering from acute episodes or crisis situations.

We call on local authorities and healthcare providers in Bridgend to prioritize urgent mental health services and ensure that every individual who needs immediate help can access it without delay. By doing so, we can create a safer community for all residents while providing much-needed support for those battling mental health conditions.
