Since the 1950's, helmets have been standard for all sorts of equestrian activities including horseback racing and English-style riding. But, somehow, we still don't require helmets for children, and the cowboy hat is still standard for Western-style riding. Let's normalize helmets by mandating them for all children on horseback in Oregon. 

Here are some easy ways you can help spread the word. 

• Share the petition on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (as an Instagram story or as a link in your bio).
• Post in relevant groups, parenting communities, equestrian enthusiasts' groups, and local community pages.
• Spread the word on Nextdoor to engage with neighbors.

• Engage in discussions on online forums and relevant subreddits.
