In Victorian high schools, VCEs are an end of high school test to prove to the government that you have contained the curriculum taught to you throughout your years in school.

French and Chinese, the most common languages taught, are their own VCE, but are optional, unlike core subjects, such as English, Math and Science.

Even though countless students count their sleeps until they can quit these classes, you can’t deny their benefits, such as an increase with people you can communicate with, and many more.

A mandated foreign language VCE would mean that more students would be exposed to such benefits, while many would rather quit.
