I'm concerned about the inclusion of youtube by default on Android phones, and the impact this decision, or lack of, has on individuals and children. 

These services are installed on Android devices with no option for removing or deleting them.

This places highly addictive entertainment right alongside essential tools and services that we rely on daily and carry everywhere. 
This content is driven by divisive engagement and designed to engage users attention for as long as possible.

This is a very problematic situation for a host of obvious.

The solution lies in the UK government requiring Android (or similar) device manufacturers and developers to remove youtube by default from all Andoid (or similar) devices.

A claim this in't possible, or that services are inseparable from a technical perspective is absurd and clearly supports corporate over citizen interests - Google may claim the YouTube and Android services are inseparable, but this is false.

Any separation difficulties are by design to ensure Google are unable to easily comply with requests, and can use technical jargen obfuscation to throw the MPs off where MP technical knowledge is poor. If the system is not suitable - design it again, its a question of who has the power, Google or the UK government?

Other commercial reasons will be given by Google, subsidised phones, cheaper services, bundled services, all deressed up as benefits to consumer, but we know this is not for the consumer benefit.

Are we in the UK a vassal state of big tech corporate profit interests, or do we control our own legislation?
Can we push back or are we beholden to Google's profit before our own citizens' wellbeing? 
Are recent digital protection measures to really protect the citizens? 

Then prove it, as a fundamental issue remains unadressed which is clearly due to bich tech profit motive

This petition calls upon the UK government to legislate on this issue, an issue as detrimental to our society as other online digital safety matters legislated for.

Despite these well-documented issues, Android users are often unable to completely remove apps like YouTube from their devices. This lack of control over our personal technology is frustrating and concerning.
