I am a survivor. A survivor of lung cancer caused by radon gas, despite never having smoked a single cigarette in my life. The upper left lobe of my lung was removed due to this silent killer, which had infiltrated my home at levels equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes daily—far exceeding the EPA recommended guideline of 4 picocuries.

Radon is not just any gas; it's the number one cause of lung cancer among never-smokers, as stated by the U.S. Surgeon General. Yet only 13 states currently require radon testing in schools where our children spend at least five hours each day for twelve years.

This is not just about me—it's about protecting our children and future generations from this invisible threat that lurks undetected in many schools across our nation. It's time we take action and demand that federally mandated Radon Gas Testing be implemented in every school across all states.
