As someone who speaks to customers, I hear the daily frustration, confusion, and disappointment caused by issues within our freight post delivery system. Far too often, I receive calls from customers who are upset because they never received a notification that their parcel was ready for collection at the post office. By the time they realize a parcel was waiting for them, the collection period has expired, and their order has been returned to the sender. For businesses, this means lost sales and damaged trust. For customers, it's a source of inconvenience and dissatisfaction.

Even more challenging, when customers call to locate missing parcels, the system frequently lacks clear answers. Service lines often provide vague responses, leaving me unable to offer the help or reassurance that customers need. It's disheartening to witness the trust in our postal system erode because of recurring problems that could be addressed with better accountability.

That's why I am advocating for a transformative solution: requiring freight post delivery drivers to wear body cameras while on duty. Body cameras would help improve accountability and accuracy across the delivery process.

For customers, this would mean fewer missed notifications, lost parcels, or disputes over delivery claims. It would restore their confidence in knowing their parcels will reach them as promised.

For businesses, it would mean reduced losses, fewer customer complaints, and better protection of their reputation.

For delivery drivers, it would serve as a safeguard against false accusations, providing evidence of their professionalism and dedication to their role. Body cameras would not only hold them accountable but also protect them by creating a fair and transparent work environment.

This solution benefits everyone involved—customers, businesses, and delivery personnel alike. It's an opportunity to bring much-needed trust, efficiency, and transparency back into the freight delivery system.
