As a parent, I, alongside my wife, have continuously encountered the difficulty of caring for our child in public spaces. One major challenge we face repeatedly is the lack of baby changing stations in public restrooms. We believe that everyone, regardless of gender, should be able to change their child's diaper in a clean, safe environment. Our experiences reflect those of countless parents nationwide who grapple with the same problem. According to a 2019 survey, approximately 50% of men's public restrooms in the U.S. lack changing tables (Source: Pampers). Additionally, the issue isn't exclusively a male-oriented one, as many women's public restrooms equally lack these facilities. This is not only inconvenient, but it infringes on our ability to adequately care for our children's hygiene needs in public. It's time for a change. We urge lawmakers to enact legislation requiring all public restrooms - men's and women's - to be equipped with baby changing stations.
