The Issue

When this petition reaches 10,000 signatures, it will be officially submitted to the Honourable Law Minister of India and other concerned government authorities, urging immediate action to make mandatory Age & ID verification a legal requirement.

Today’s tragic incident in Ghaziabad, where three minor children reportedly died by mass suicide, is a devastating reminder of how vulnerable our children are in the digital age. This is not an isolated case—it is a warning.

This tragedy is a painful reminder that our children are being left unprotected in the digital world.

Social media and online gaming platforms allow children under 16 to sign up freely—without real age or ID verification. These platforms expose young minds to addiction, cyberbullying, emotional pressure, and harmful content that they are not mentally prepared to handle.

This is costing lives.

We are not asking to ban technology.

We are asking for responsibility.

We demand immediate action.

We urge the Government of India, IT Ministry, and technology companies to implement the following:

Mandatory Age Verification System

Integration of government-issued ID verification (Aadhaar / equivalent) for all social media and online gaming platforms.

No access or account creation for users below 16 years.

No Gaming Platform Signup Without ID Proof

Online games, especially multiplayer and competitive games, must require verified identity before registration.

Strict Penalties for Non-Compliance

Heavy fines, app suspension, or banning of platforms that fail to enforce age verification.

Parental Control & Transparency

Mandatory parental consent dashboards for minors.

Clear time limits, spending controls, and mental health safeguards.

Why This Matters

Children are not emotionally equipped to handle:

Online pressure and toxic communities

Addiction-driven game mechanics

Cyberbullying and online harassment

Exposure to harmful or triggering content

The Ghaziabad tragedy must not be forgotten or brushed aside. If we remain silent today, more families may suffer tomorrow.

This is not about banning technology.

It is about responsible regulation, child safety, and saving lives.

We urge policymakers and tech companies to act now—before it’s too late.

Protect our children. Enforce age verification. Hold platforms accountable.

Children deserve protection—online as much as offline.

If we fail to act now, more families will suffer losses that can never be undone.

This is a wake-up call.

Protect our children.

Make age verification mandatory—now.
