As an Algerian living in the north west, I understand the struggles that many of us face when trying to travel back home. Currently, we have no choice but to make a long and inconvenient trip down south or have to transit through another country so we can join our families. This is not only time-consuming but also financially draining for families like mine.

There are thousands of Algerians living in the north of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland/Northern Ireland who would greatly benefit from having a direct flight route from Manchester to Algiers. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), there are approximately 25,000 Algerians residing in these regions. This new route would not only provide convenience for these residents but also boost tourism between our two countries.

Furthermore, this addition will prove beneficial for Air Algérie financially as well. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reports that airlines can increase their revenues by up to 20% by opening new routes and attracting new customers.

Therefore, we encourage Air Algérie management team to consider adding this much-needed route into their network.

En tant qu'Algérien vivant dans le nord-ouest, je comprends les difficultés auxquelles beaucoup d'entre nous sont confrontés lorsqu'ils tentent de rentrer chez eux. Actuellement, nous n’avons d’autre choix que de faire un voyage long et peu pratique vers le sud ou de devoir transiter par un autre pays pour pouvoir rejoindre nos familles. Cela prend non seulement beaucoup de temps, mais est également épuisant financièrement pour des familles comme la mienne.

 

Des milliers d'Algériens vivent dans le nord de l'Angleterre, en Écosse, au Pays de Galles et en Irlande/Irlande du Nord et bénéficieraient grandement d'une liaison aérienne directe entre Manchester et Alger. Selon l'Office national des statistiques (ONS), environ 25 000 Algériens résident dans ces régions. Cette nouvelle route offrirait non seulement du confort à ces résidents, mais stimulerait également le tourisme entre nos deux pays.

 

De plus, cet ajout s'avérera également bénéfique pour Air Algérie sur le plan financier. L'Association du transport aérien international (IATA) rapporte que les compagnies aériennes peuvent augmenter leurs revenus jusqu'à 20 % en ouvrant de nouvelles routes et en attirant de nouveaux clients.

 

Par conséquent, nous encourageons l’équipe de direction d’Air Algérie à envisager d’ajouter cette route indispensable à son réseau.
