Right now, on Nauru, there are women like Leila whose urgent medical conditions are being ignored.

They’re attempting suicide because of the despair. But because the government refuses to provide them with the psychological support they so desperately need, the cycle of suicide attempts and self-harm continues.

It’d be the best Christmas gift ever for those refugees who’ve been locked up, ignored and suffered horrifying abuse in their home countries.

No matter what the politicians say, this fight is not over - yesterday the Government closed our Parliament to stop laws that would help the kids and adults on Nauru could from being passed. People are still suffering and self-harming. That means our work will only increase over the coming months.

Together we can keep working to get everyone on Manus Island and Nauru the care they need and hold Peter Dutton and Scott Morrison accountable in our highest courts. But we need to fund the team who powers all our volunteers to keep doing this work.
