Dear supporters,
We are only three weeks away from launching one of the boldest projects the National Justice Project has undertaken. Although a lot of our work revolves around individual struggles for refugees and Indigenous people, we sometimes have the privilege of getting involved in broader justice fights with the goal of not just changing policy, but changing behaviour as well.
Copwatch is launching in August- thanks to you. We will train Aboriginal people on their rights and techniques to film police interactions. We have conducted research on the laws across every state and territory. We have experts ready to travel to Aboriginal communities. What we need is a final push to get our fundraiser across the finish line.
We have been humbled by the support we’ve received from communities across Australia for this project. An astonishing fifteen thousand people have shared our campaign on social media. Over 600 people have donated to our project, and raised over $47,000.

In this last 6 days of the campaign, we need to raise another $13 000. Thousands of people have shared our campaign – we just need a little more help from our supporters to get this program up and running.
I am messaging you because I know you care about human rights. Copwatch is an exciting opportunity to help communities who have been ignored when they have pleaded for justice. We are excited to give them the media and legal training so they feel supported in the important work of documenting injustice, violence and harassment.
Please help us finish the Copwatch fundraiser with a final burst so that we can help Aboriginal communities in their desire for justice:

It is only with the help of our supporters that we can do what we do.
Thank you,
