The Federal Government is calling for submissions into an inquiry on Age Verification for online pornography. As a dad and someone that deals with the effects of childhood exposure to porn I care greatly about this topic and how it effects Australian families. 

Porn use has been shown to be higher in Australian children than in most countries. Research has shown a dramatic increase in porn consumption by boys and a continued decline in the age of first exposer to porn. Along with this there has been a corresponding increase in Child-on-child sexual abuse.

We must TAKE ACTION NOW and make a submission to the government. As a supporter of this petition this is what we have been waiting for.

Here are two ways you can make a submission.
 
Via the official inquiry webpage (close date, Friday October 25)
Via eChildhood – a simplified survey template with prompts (this option closes on Wednesday 23 October). eChildhood is a great organisation I've come across that you might like to follow. It is an Australian registered health promotion charity addressing the harms of pornography.

It only takes about 10 minutes and our leaders need to hear from lots of people about our concerns on how porn is effecting this country. You can find out more about how age verification can help protect our kids here!
