Thanks to CWA rank & file members, and many sympathetic officers we are making progress towards our demands for a PERMANENT, COMPENSATED WORK FROM HOME OPTION at AT&T.
- Nearly 3,000 AT&T workers and our families have now signed the petition
- CWA Local 4108 has come on board as an official co-sponsor of the petition
- The new CWA-AT&T Mobility "Orange" Tentative Agreement provides for a monthly stipend of $55 for home wi-fi/electricity for the permanent WFH employees under that contract
- Most importantly: At the CWA Local Presidents Conference in DC last month, the union's Telecom VP's unanimously agreed to ask AT&T for an extension of the WFH Agreement. A letter was sent to AT&T from the CWA Chief of Staff on July 1st 2022 requesting talks on extending WFH. This is not the permanent solution we all want but it's a change in attitude, directly due to our efforts. One of the VP's stated to us, "your mobilizing worked".
Now we need to put pressure on the company to agree to an extension of the WFH agreement - and then to look at how we can get to a permanent option.
