The Wenclair ship was born within the fandom itself, but the chemistry and connection between Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair made more and more people, fans and non-fans alike, see them as a couple.

But when asked, they said the two are “just friends” and will remain so. This is queerbaiting: using the expectation of an LGBTQIA+ romance to attract an audience without real intent to represent.

Wenclair has already won millions of fans worldwide. This is not just “fan service” or “a romance made up by fans,” it’s about representation, honesty, and respect for those who watch and promote the show.
