As you may know, tonight at 10pm I will be deported from the UK & Stephen and I will be separated. It's technically called a "voluntary departure", but if I didn't leave today, then I face a re-entry ban of 12 months at least.

Yesterday we received an update on the two pending investigations into the handling of our case, and whilst Caroline Nokes accepted full responsibility for the awful handling of the case and acknowledged that the Home Office made multiple fundamental mistakes, she doesn't see any reason why I should not be deported.

Caroline also personally addresses the reasoning for our application in the UK which was in part for Stephen's mental health issues. It appears that Caroline Nokes is now a psychologist and advised that Stephen would be perfectly fine to carry on his life in the UK WITHOUT me.

How can our application take over 13 months WITHOUT A SINGLE UPDATE, yet in a matter of days, Caroline Nokes can undertake a thorough investigation and still determine that the Home Office is right - especially given that we have clearly proven they are not accepting all the evidence provided.

The Home Office is a disgrace and tonight, the system has unfairly separated two people who should be together. I can assure you all that the moment I arrive in Australia, we will be making our new application.

Watching the tears roll down Stephen's face as I walked about from him and Oscar tonight was the hardest and most heartbreaking moment I have ever had to experience.

We are better than this. Love will win.
