I have started this petition because of the cruelty of Auchan in France. At their hypermarkets, you can buy live aquatic animals, which likely, would be killed to be eaten mercilessly. 'How would you feel to be put in a tank, with a sense of hope, of a chance in life, only to be carried away for a few Euros and chopped up then eaten?' I do ask the shop. This is the saddening reality of French shopping spaces and the safety of animals sold their - they are not sold as pets!

Over 85% of French Auchan hypermarkets sell live aquatic animals, we need to decrease this number and boycott the sales of aquatic life from Auchan. If it keeps increasing, the affects on the population of aquatic animals is severe and serious.

I've always, when on holiday to France, walked through the doors under that big red bird's glare, feeling the chilling breeze walking past the poor creatures. Only to watch the person attending the section to smile coldly and say "Hello!" cheerfully as if they wasn't about to commit assisted murder with a local who likely doesn't know what they're doing or is evil and nastily chops them up into tiny little pieces then eats them like the true monster they are, and shines their true colours.

For all the people who want to just buy them as pets, and maybe have, who want to look after them and don't support animal cruelty - this is for you. You're not weird, you're not over sensitive, you're a kind person. The power is in your hands! So open them up and sign this petition for a better France and happier animals!
