This time last year I was preparing for private surgery to remove my reproductive organs, because of damage done by filshie clips. 
I would be in surgery for about two hours. 
afterwards I ran a temperature and they struggled to get my pain under control. 
Yet it was the beginning of the rest of my (more or less pain free) life. 
I have had 14 years stolen from me, I put on 4 stones, I was in pain the majority of the time, exercise was impossible. 
more than that, when I tried to get help, the people I placed trust in didn’t believe me. 

I'm still recovering, they say 18 months before being fully healed from a total hysterectomy, but I have peace inside my body. A feeling that cannot really be described, all I can say is, you truly don’t know how debilitating chronic pain is until it’s no longer there. I’m one of the lucky ones, some may never truly recover from having these devices used on them. It’s for them and others that seek a permanent solution to birth control that I’m raising awareness and trying to bring about needed change.
