I recently heard about Disney's cancelled movie “Gigantic” and was also very sad and disappointed. Like many fans, I eagerly anticipated this unique take on the fairytale "Jack and the Beanstalk" set to be a magical exploration of friendship with stunning visuals that only Disney could deliver. However, I recently heard that this movie company called Skydance, who are affiliated with Paramount Pictures and created a couple animated projects so far like the Netflix film "Spellbound" (2024), have a new Jack and the Beanstalk inspired project in development. Not only that, but it's also directed by Rich Moore who used to work with Disney. It has reignited hope among fans like me to see aspects of “Gigantic” brought to life! The catch? Skydance's new movie might not be a revival of Disney's cancelled project because they supposedly hold the rights to it. This is a missed opportunity to satisfy thousands of hopeful fans. We believe that by incorporating elements from “Gigantic,” Skydance can create a cinematic masterpiece, honoring Disney's initial vision while crafting something fresh and captivating. Disney's vision included creating a touching story about Jack befriending a female giant named Inma. The narrative promised depth and heart, elements that resonated with audiences worldwide as early concept art and storyline teasers were released. Many fans have expressed their disappointment online and in forums, longing for another chance to experience this heartwarming adventure. Since Disney supposedly isn't interested in bringing back their cancelled project, I really think they should give the rights to Skydance so that we can finally get the movie that many fans wanted for a really long time!!
