Had some exciting news today!!!
I received an email from the secretary of Transport, Chris Grayling.
I have been invited to attend a meeting with the DVSA Officials and discuss how best to Include the safer roads campaign and Bike awareness into the Theory test.
I’m honoured to have been asked along.
Whilst this idea was inspired by the tragic and traumatic loss of Our Boy Nick Brisland !
To me it very quickly also became about everyone using the road and all those who have sadly lost their lives in a R.T.A
This devastatingly happens far too often and has a major affect on families around the world.
I receive daily emails from people talking about their loved ones being carelessly injured or killed and
majority of them being S.M.I.D.S.Y’s!!
Emails including great ideas about how to make this work, explaining
this is why they signed the Petiton and felt compelled to get in touch.
It’s been very helpful and sincerely heartfelt.
In lots of ways I feel I’ve been extremely fortunate In a very unfortunate situation that the right people saw this idea very early on. Helping it to be heard by so many people as quickly as it did.
Carole Nash , MCN, St. John’s Ambulance and riderzrecommended are just 4 of the big names talking about everything that’s happened so far!! A few days ago it got the attention of the producers of BBC 2.
I’ve been invited to be interviewed live on the Jeremy Vine show on the 17th of July at 1pm talking about the petition, story so far and the defibrillator charity.
How fantastic. -
Thanks to everyone who continue to support us all through this journey and to all that continue to sign and share and get the message out there.
