MAKE RETURNED PETS TRADEABLE AGAIN IN ADOPT ME ✅
The Issue
Petition to Fix Returned Pets in Adopt Me
We, the Adopt Me community, ask the developers to reconsider the current policy for pets returned after hacks or scams. Right now, returned pets are permanently untradeable and cannot be used to make Neons or Megas. This punishes victims instead of helping them.
Why this is unfair:
These are still our pets, we spent months, even years grinding or paying for them. Getting them back in a permanently “broken” state is devastating.
Adopt Me says the permanent lock prevents abuse, but careful review of reports should be the solution, not locking victims’ pets forever.
Important example:
In the first month of the system, untradeable pets could still be combined with tradeable pets of the same kind to make a Neon, and the resulting Neon was tradeable.
This was a fair compromise:
It effectively “consumed” the untradeable pet and decreased its value, but at least it gave the returned pet a useful purpose and helped victims recover.
Now, Adopt Me has removed this option. Returned pets are permanently untradeable and cannot be used for Neons or Megas, making them completely useless for progression. Even though they are still your pets and can be aged up, they are otherwise useless..
Support already takes 30 to 90 days to return items. Adding a permanent lock on top feels excessive. A temporary lock, for example 30 days, is a fairer balance.
Some players are also frustrated because only those hacked in recent months are receiving help under this new system. What about players who were hacked before it existed? Adopt Me should not ignore them, they also deserve fair treatment and recovery.
What we’re asking for:
1. Change returned pets from permanently untradeable to temporarily untradeable (like before, 30 days).
2. Allow returned pets to count toward Neons and Megas, with the resulting Neon/Mega being tradeable.
3. Take responsibility for properly reviewing scam reports instead of punishing victims with useless pets.
4. Support all players who were hacked, not just those after the system update, give them compensation.
We love Adopt Me and appreciate the team’s efforts against scammers, but this policy feels greedy and self-centered toward victims who keep the game thriving. Please restore a system that protects players without destroying the utility of their returned pets and give all players fair support, no matter when they were hacked.
