My name is Heerath Singh. I have used Duolingo to achieve my language learning goals in the past. I find it baffling that an esteemed language-learning platform has overlooked such an integral language of our society. As someone from Perth, a very isolated city, it is important for me to get the necessary resources for communicating with a large community.

But this isn't just for me. Ask anyone wanting to learn Punjabi and they will most definitely agree that Duolingo Punjabi needs to take off. 

Punjabi is a language that is learnt all over the world and is used by over 100 million people. It is spoken in India, Pakistan, Canada, The UK, and the UAE, to name a few. Whether you want to speak your native language, or if you want to use it for travel purposes, Duolingo Punjabi is a necessity for all. Despite this, a large lack of resources is available for learning this beautiful language. Now is the time to act, to help grow an important language.
