I asked BT why they were violating their own Vulnerable People Policy...
when it came to my case:-

The answer unfortunately was totally predictable as umm I predicted. They don't need to break GDPR to answer a very simple question. They don't need to give my details to answer it at all.
I asked for a public response, they haven't given one. I'll get a private call (again) when it's a simple question. They won't tell me anything different than on Friday anyway (We're waiting on Openreach, we're trying to contact the Patch Lead etc).
It's hard to get a publicly visible answer, it gets pushed to private communications. They don't want people to see that it's happening. Strange concept when it's all over Trustpilot, clearly visible.
I'm beginning to feel that these companies think that they're not answerable to their Customers. All you get is copy and paste replies and placation. Placation makes me angry, ironic that.
Customers deserve WAY better than this.
Seems any resolution is far, far away.
I've sent a letter to my MP, Nick Smith to ask if he can do anything. I should get a reply early next week (If you're affected I suggest you do the same).
I'll look into contacting the Media early next week as well. I need a couple of days rest first.
Remember, It's not just me. All I can do most of the time is post things from my perspective.
Feel free to contact me on Twitter @anonywelshguy if you want me to hear your story or you can post it in the discussion. I can post it as an update if you wish, I can always amend your name etc,
Don't forget to share this petition. It's a slow burner but it's gaining traction. Share, retweet, it all counts (it's pinned to my Twitter page).
If we get to 100 we'll have a louder voice. Small steps on a long journey, I fear.
