Thank you for signing the petition. Don't forget to share across Social Media. If we hit 100 signatures, the petition could get featured and it could fly and hopefully something will finally get done.
Ranting at ISP's on Social Media is largely fruitless, believe me I've tried, Inevitably you get pushed into DM's so it's not visible to other people, the truth of what is happening gets hidden.
On a personal level 3 weeks ago I was told that my fibre "would definitely be done, it's happening". I informed BT that if it didn't get done I would have to travel by bus with my disability (I have spinal issues) as there were Bus replacement services as they were working on my train line.
I was assured that it would be done. It wasn't, again.
I had to travel by bus, I was getting up at 5am and getting home at 8PM Monday to Friday, it was pure hell and has left me utterly exhausted. Even the complaints handler stated "I have no words" when I told her it hadn't been done. Unfortunately they are as powerless as we are to get things done. They can pass things on, set things up but ultimately it's up to Opensource to do it.
Pressure counts and our voices will be heard if we hit the milestones. When we protest in the UK, things change. It's what we do.
Read the reviews of Openreach and ISP Providers on Trustpilot and see what people are going through.
People booking days off work for Engineers that don't turn up, endless hours spent chasing with ISP's via phone, People / small businesses losing £1,000s because they cannot work from home are but a few.
Deadlock letters from ISP's are worthless if it's the fault of Openreach as they are not signed up to the Ombudsman,. Openreach offered me compensation, I turned it down. Throwing Money at a problem is not a solution, neither is apathy. Compensation doesn't solve the problem I have. I need Broadband, I don't have it. It's up to Openreach to install it. It's that simple.
If there is another widespread COVID outbreak, people will struggle to order food, work from home etc. The elderly and disabled will become even more isolated as they are inevitably the worst affected.
Sign, sign, sign. Share, share, share.
Get friends and family to sign the petition. It only takes a minute, everyone can spare a minute. Every signature counts and feel free to contribute financially if you can, every little helps. If you can't, don't worry about it. I'll keep pushing from my side.
Individually we are largely powerless, together we are strong.
If we don't get the signatures, nothing will change, more people will be held hostage, stuck in limbo.
Signing and standing together, strength in numbers. This is how we will change things.
I hope you all have a great weekend :)
