Make Northern Ireland part of Republic of Ireland

Make Northern Ireland part of Republic of Ireland
The Issue
MAKE IRELAND FREE 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Reasons:
1. **Historical and Cultural Unity**:
- Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland share a common history, culture, and language. Many argue that reunification would correct the historical division imposed by British rule in the early 20th century, which many see as unjust and artificial.
2. **National Identity**:
- For many people in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, the concept of a united Ireland is central to their national identity. Reunification could be seen as a way to fulfill the aspiration of a fully sovereign Irish nation.
3. **Economic Benefits**:
- A united Ireland could potentially bring economic benefits. The Republic of Ireland has experienced significant economic growth in recent decades, and a unified market could lead to increased trade, investment, and development opportunities across the entire island.
4. **Political Stability**:
- Some argue that reunification could contribute to greater political stability in the region. The division of Ireland has been a source of conflict, most notably during the Troubles, and a united Ireland could help heal long-standing divisions and reduce sectarian tensions.
5. **European Union Membership**:
- Post-Brexit, Northern Ireland's status is complex, as it remains part of the UK, which has left the EU, while the Republic of Ireland remains an EU member. A united Ireland would allow Northern Ireland to fully rejoin the EU, providing benefits such as freedom of movement, trade opportunities, and access to EU funding.
6. **Social Cohesion**:
- A unified Ireland might lead to greater social cohesion, as efforts would likely be made to bridge the divides between different communities and promote a shared sense of identity and purpose.
7. **Democratic Expression**:
- The Good Friday Agreement allows for the possibility of a referendum on Irish reunification if there is sufficient support for it. Advocates argue that if a majority of people in Northern Ireland desire reunification, it should be respected as a democratic expression of their will.
8. **Infrastructure and Services**:
- There could be improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and public services if the entire island were governed under one administration, leading to more efficient and cohesive development plans.
Irish people have fought since 1169 against British colonisation. This island is, always was, and always wil be rightfully ours.
We want to acheive this task in the most peaceful way possible, if we can.
