Make Feminine Hygiene Products Available at Nassau Community College

The Issue

Nassau Community College does not have feminine hygiene products available for their students, and we're here to change that.

Imagine going to the bathroom when you unexpectedly get your period and you realize you don't have any feminine hygiene products on you, and the bathroom/school is not stocked with them. Imagine you can't even afford such products, leaving you uncomfortable and embarrassed. Why do other universities and even malls have the option to purchase these products in the bathroom for a quarter, but here at NCC, there are no options. Why are condoms free here, but pads/tampons, an absolute necessity, nonexistent?

The Women's Student Association of NCC has been doing its best to provide products to students in the form of "Care Boxes" placed in the women's bathrooms on campus. The notes of gratitude from students left on these boxes has moved us to make these "Care Boxes" permanent at NCC at the cost of the school, rather than fundraisers put on by the WSA.

Please sign to help make a necessity for women available while they're trying to get an education.
