Make Lynching a Federal Crime - WE CAN'T WAIT!

Make Lynching a Federal Crime - WE CAN'T WAIT!
The Issue
Congress has passed a bill in the House and Senate to make Lynching a Federal Crime, but it has not been signed by the President yet because Congress needs to reconcile both the House and Senate bills before sending it to the President of the United States.
Since May 31st, 2020 at least 6 African American men have been found hanging across America. If Congress does not submit this bill to be signed by the President soon, when the perpetrators of these heinous crimes and future lynchings are found they will not be tried to the full extent of the law desired by Congress and many Americans.
The Senate bill (S.488) portion states that 99% of lynching perpetrators escaped punishment. Let's not allow this to happen again to our communities and nation in honor of anyone else who may be brutally lynched in America.
This is 2020.. and Black America still has to fight lynchings... Let's help put an end to this by making our voice heard - that this type of hate crime should not be taken lightly in America.
Thank you for your signature and your fight against injustice.
---------
For Your Reference: Bills approved but not made into law:
Senate Bill - S.488 - Justice for Victims of Lynching Act of 2019
House Bill - H.R.35 - Emmett Till Antilynching Act - 116th Congress (2019-2020).
We need these finalized and made into law to Make Lynching a Federal Crime.
