How many more tragedies will it take for action?

Many of you may have seen the recent terrible news: a 10-year-old girl drowned last weekend in a Norwegian Cruise Line pool. The pool where she was playing did NOT have a lifeguard on duty, and sadly, the crew couldn’t resuscitate her. You can read more here: http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/19/us/cruise-ship-girl-drowns/ Unfortunately, this tragedy brings back immediate memories of heartbreak and unnecessary loss that many families worldwide -- like ours -- are too familiar with. How many more lives have to be lost before the cruise lines take action? Without immediate changes, we’re concerned that more children like my son will lose their lives far too soon, particularly as millions of people get ready to board ships this summer vacation season. We need to once again to tell the Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA) that there cannot be any more senseless and largely preventable drownings on cruise ships. And please join us in keeping the young girl’s family in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. Tashara and Caselle
