For far too long airlines such as: Spirit, Frontier, Delta, American Airlines, Southwest, Jet Blu, and other airline companies have been able to greedily overbook flights then forcibly remove passengers from those flights. We, the petitioners, demand that this becomes illegal and that airline companies are no longer allowed to overbook both domestic and international flights starting in 2025 or 2026. When people fly they are flying because they have business, because they have worked extremely hard at being able to afford a holiday destination, because they are trying to go home, and sometimes for both joyous occasions such as seeing their adult child graduate or for a tragic event, such as a funeral. When you bump someone off of a flight you make them miss days from their scheduled holiday, important events, or being at work at their scheduled time if they were flying home. Regardless, bumping people off of flights causes severe emotional distress, severe anxiety, wastes money as they now have to sometimes pay a hotel and definitely pay for extra meals, splits people up who may have been staying at the same hotel together, and other extreme inconveniences as well. Airplane companies are not going to lose a drastic amount of money by finally putting the customers first. Thank you
