Punky's mom, Susan Santics, is asking for the public's help.

As most of Canada and the world has now heard, the Supreme Court of Canada denied allowing the appeal of PUNKY:
Prosecutor Robert LeBlanc, representing the City of Vancouver, HAS DECIDED TO KILL PUNKY five days SOONER, on January 23, 2020 (instead of January 28). Mr. LeBlanc has admitted he is a dog owner himself.
***Ms. Santics will be at Vancouver Animal Control on Monday January 20, 2020 at 2 pm to visit PUNKY for the very last time. She is asking people to come down and help show your support in numbers. Ms. Santics has invited the media to attend***
PLEASE BE cordial, civil and polite. Please do NOT try to gain access to the shelter (PUNKY is in a non-public part of the shelter), do NOT block entrances, doors, sidewalks and do not bother or threaten employees or use profanity.
Ms. Santics is asking everyone to please COMMENT, REACT, SHARE, TWEET the heck out of this post!!!
***CBC NATIONAL NEWS has told Ms. Santics they would like to see the level of public support for PUNKY in asking Mayor Kennedy Stewart to commute PUNKY'S execution and to release and rehome Punky to a third party, on compassionate grounds.
That decision, ultimately, rests within Mayor Kennedy Stewart's capacity. By sharing this post, we are asking Mayor Kennedy Stewart to allow this now virally-famous young dog to to be rehomed to another family, even to another country instead of needlessly killing him.
Ms. Santics understands that if the Mayor Kennedy Stewart commutes PUNKY'S death sentence and he is allowed to be rehomed...she is unlikely to ever see him again. Ms. Santics agrees this is in the best interest of PUNKY.
This is the same option which the Court initially expected of Ms. Santics, which prosecutor Mr. Robert LeBlanc appears to no longer agree with.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?This is more than just one innocent dog's life...this is about recognizing and progressing our societal relationship with our dogs. What the Supreme Court of Canada declined to hear, Ms. Santics is now asking the City of Vancouver and Mayor Kennedy Stewart to consider. Not just to Mayor Stewart Kennedy's constituents but to public opinion of the world's perception of Vancouver being a fun, dog-friendly metropolitan city.
The fact remains the City of Vancouver is killing PUNKY for the transgressions of his owner.
This is not vicarious liability as would a car driver be held in the event of a motor vehicle violation...this is the legal system exacting third party capital punishment onto a dog due to the fault of the owner.
This is the chance for Mayor Kennedy Stewart to clean up Vancouver Animal Control's tarnished public image of disliking dogs. This should not for prosecutorial points.
Reflectively and fiscally...calculate the amount of goodwill PR an ad campaign like this would actually cost the City of Vancouver. According to 2018 statistics, McDonald's spent $70 million on their Canadian ad budget that year.
***PLEASE*** keep all messages/correspondence respectful to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mayor Kennedy Stewart, City of Vancouver employees. It is in PUNKY'S best interest of survival to write politely and kindly. Please do NOT intimidate nor threaten anyone in any way whatsoever. Doing so will negatively affect our goodwill efforts and could result in criminal charges against any such individual. It will likely force prosecutor Mr. Robert LeBlanc into an unnavigable 'corner' which he won't be able to articulate.
Let's save PUNKY'S life!!!
