Hello To Our Supporters,

Last week, I emailed the MLA to get an update on our animal advocacy objectives...I hope to hear from them soon and update everyone.

One of our happy moments recently was helping a disabled Bulldog puppy that was deemed dangerous from being euthanized.

Gordon is a 7 month old Bulldog, tragically paralyzed in the hind end when he was pulled by his hind legs from the womb by a backyard breeder ('BYB'). Dumped at a no-kill shelter in Mexico. He spent 7 months of his life as a puppy on the shelter floor. He became reactive to the point that anyone near him he would attack.

Furever Freed Dog Rescue flew Gordon to Vancouver, Canada. He had x-rays (waiting for specialist report). They will fundraise to pay for surgery to repair his spine, if recommended. They bought him a wheelchair. The only problem is he attacks everyone when they try to touch him.

His foster parents are highly experienced with disabled dogs. After a month they still couldn't touch him. If Gordon can't be picked up to be fitted into his wheelchair, they would have no choice but to euthanize. Furever Freed has rescued over 1700 dogs and only had to euthanize 3 dogs in their history (due to complicated medical issues). She’s never held him.

Watch his 3 minute video on June 26, 2019. It's incredibly touching...it may be a little difficult to watch for some during the first minute but the ending will bring tears.
