"I have always loved animals and want to help them. I've always been drawn to care for them. Losing a beloved pet is both a traumatic and viscerally evolving experience. I've learned so many times their love is always inside my heart of hearts. Being part of Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue Foundation and Compassion For Animals advocacy allows me to give back to the voiceless."
Concurrently teaching over 12 child-centric programs she has developed in various Community Center programs in Vancouver, Sharon believes a child's natural intuition begins by teaching children at an early age the concept of intelligent empathy. For other children, people and most importantly, animals.
"By sharing kindness, we can shift the next generation's societal perspective into understanding that everyone has a story from their hearts."
Our team is excited to bring forth her grounded social experiences into our continuing objectives:
Compassion For Canines and Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue Foundation:
1. Developed the first Vancouver Meetup group to 'End Yulin Dog and Cat Eating Festival'.
2. Concept school-age education program for children and animals.
3. Progressing intelligent perspective on animal welfare.
4. First successfully accepted complaint against Vancouver Animal Control alleging violations of equitable and respectful access to service for people protected by Human Rights legislation.
5. With the support of Honorable MLA Brar to position our team as a Key Stakeholder in the current redraft of animal welfare legislation with the Ministry of Agriculture in the province of British Columbia.
6. With the assistance of Honorable Ken Hardie, Member of Parliament of Canada in our collective efforts to criminalize human consumption of dogs and cats in Canada.
We are all volunteers. We are all human beings.
Everything starts with a baby step.
Thank you,
James Tsai, founder Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue
