I know following the guidelines, ethical standards and codes in social media is critical, apart from who you are, where you live, your gender, how old you are, and what you do. Because these media act as our hosts, we, as guests, have to stick to the host's regulations.
So, blocking rude,  racist, abusive, and violent content and people on social media is a rational option given to users.
However, exploiting this option unfairly? Some people use this option without justice and annoy the other users without being abused.
They actually, seem to use the power they are given to harm other users.
It seems that Instagram's protective options against harmful activities, are used to harm other users.

Some examples that follow: being blocked by sending a simple follow request to someone, saying hello to someone, reacting to somebody's story using  permitted emojies... . 

Honestly talking, none of the aforementioned actions deserve blocking.

We want Instagram and other social media to review the activities of the users before confirming the blockers’ prompts and try to protect their users comprehensively.
