Delhi is in the midst of municipal corporation elections and the leaders have made stray dogs an agenda for winning their elections.
The Aam Admi Party (AAP) led Delhi government has put in their manifesto that they would remove all stray dogs from Delhi once they win elections. This was quite expected from them because during their last 8 years of governance they have done nothing for the stray animals. The vet hospitals are in mess, there are no medicines, no modern facilities and no ambulance for animals. They consider animals nothing but a piece of garbage which needs to be removed from the city Delhi
As per existing rules dogs cannot be removed from their place. They can only be sterilized so Delhi Govt has promised something which is illegal but neither the election commission of India nor the AWBI have found this wrong or objectionable and they have taken no action.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) led central govt is not far behind.
Thankfully their manifesto does not promise any such thing but the contestants are openly promising to remove dogs from the city of Delhi.
A huge hoarding has been put in Delhi which has the photo of the Prime Minister along with two other BJP leaders and it says that the dog shelters will save from dog bites (Pic in the post).
Just imagine the kind of impact this will have on the common man of India
These political parties have done nothing for the last 5 years in Delhi for dogs.
They never made any awareness for the ABC program nor involved people in getting the dogs sterilized but today they are doing everything possible to create more hatred and fear towards the man's best friend
A man just got out of his scooter and took his stick and hit a dog on his mouth . He did it for no reason at all. When animal activists contacted him, his wife said that they will beat the dog like this only

It's such an irony that the parties which are in power and could have done so much for the stray dogs are only spitting venom for these voiceless souls and have made them an agenda for their upcoming elections and the Party leader who is not in power for many years now has chosen to be the voice for these voiceless
Today dogs of India are nothing but villains who bite
