Noida is becoming a hell for dogs and their owners and caregivers

The Noida Authority is blindly flouting all dog rules and instead of creating a congenial environment for the dogs it is only adding fuel to ignite more hatred and conflict between humans who care for dogs and those who are misinformed about dogs and have started hating them

There has been incidents of more violence against dogs and their caregivers

A dog feeder from Greater Noida was assaulted (Pic in the post) for feeding the dogs and the people who punched him and banged his head against ground were his own neighbours staying in the same apartment where he stays and the police have charged these anti social elements and goons under minor sections and now these people are roaming freely as if teasing the dog feeders and telling them that do what you like but we will beat you up , harass you, insult you and you cannot do anything against उस because the authority is with us

If this is what is happening against the dog feeders then one can well imagine what they must be doing against the mute dogs

A dog was ruthlessly killed in Ghaziabad just few kilometers away from Noida and the police has taken no action against the culprits

Suddenly after watching the dog being tied by neck and stangulated to death one was reminded of the dog of Kerala who was hanged and beaten in similar way

To add to the misery of dogs and their owners the Noida Authority has come out with a pet dog ब्द stray dog policy which may only create further hatred and harassment for pets and their ownershe policy has been decided by the authority following the guidelines of Animal Welfare Board of India for Noida region.

These are some of the main points:

1 Pet owners will be charged a penalty of Rs 10,000 if their pet dog or cat bites anyone

2 Registration of pet dogs or cats to be done before March 1, 2023 and If a pet owner fails to register before the last date, a penalty will be imposed

3 Sterilization and anti-rabies vaccination of pet dogs has also been made mandatory. If it isn't abided with, a fine of Rs 2000 per month will be imposed on the pet owner

4 Marking of feeding places on outdoor area has to be made and arrangement of food and drink will be done by feeders or RWA or AOA only.

5  if a pet dog has littered in a public place, it will be the responsibility of the animal owner to clean it.

Nothing can be more apathetic and anti dog policy than the one which Noida authority has come out with

Especially point 3 and 4 where it has made sterilization of pet dogs compulsory and asked for marking of feeding places for stray dogs I an outdoor area

Let's hope they don't mean  feeding outside the society because dogs are territorial and not all can be forced to eat food at one or two places marked for them

Some dogs are old, weak and timid so they have to be fed separately

And sterilizing all dogs stray and pets means complete eradication of dogs from Noida

This policy will not only discoueage dog adoption but also lead to dog abandonment, stray dog killing, relocation and feeder harassment

Wonder how is the Noida Authority claiming  that they have kept the guidelines of AWBI in mind while preparing such an obnoxious policy

The Delhi Chief Minister had never been the voice of the voiceless and after seven long years being totally tight lipped he has finally opened his mouth and has spit venom against  stray animals

Delhi Municipal Corporations elections are about to happen in December and one of the ten promises that the Chief Minister has made to the people of Delhi is that if he wins then he will get all the stray animals (dogs, cows, monkeys) removed from streets of Delhi

Delhi has been witness to numerous dog cruelties and caregiver harassment but it's Chief minister chose to be blind, deaf and dumb and today when he opened his mouth he declares stray animals as a menace

Yesterday a dog was beaten in a ruthless manner by people who broke his trust, tbis happened in a slum area of Vasant Kunj in New Delhi

Who is the real menace ?

It seems our political leaders who are hungry for power and votes have stooped to very low levels

The Chief Minister of Delhi should have known that the stray dogs whom he is planning to remove from Delhi are community dogs and as per dog rules 2001 they can only get sterilized and vaccinated

As per current dog rules stray dogs cannot be removed as relocation of dogs is illegal so how come the Chief Minister has promised something illegal ? He has further created hatred for stray dogs and their caregivers by his irresponsible and illegal promise

As far as stray cows are concerned most of them are not stray

They have owners who use them for their milk and then leave them on the streets

As per law these cows cannot be removed because they are not stray and abandoned and if at all they are sent to shelters when they fall sick or meet with a accident the owners go to।the shelters and bring their cows back

If at all we have to help them, then we need to devise rules and policies by which we penalize the cow owners for leaving their cows on the streets and see to it that they are well fed

They often walk on the streets especially towards the garbage bins in search of food

As far as monkeys are concerned the delhi govt has already been removing them but they have never questioned  the RWAS who have been using langoors, sticks, sling shots and local air gun to shoo the monkeys away

These RWAs have made the monkeys hostile by their irresponsible behaviour and the Delhi Govt is absolutely blind, deaf and dumb to such atrocities

Did they ask them not to use such wrong methods ?

What is happening in Noida and Delhi is state sponsored

When the administrators see stray dogs as menace then what can we expect from।the common man of India

The situation in India is very bad and its getting only worse with each passing day

It's only the judiciary which can।now reinstate law and order in this country
