The honourable Supreme Court of India on 12th October 2022 declined the plea of the govt of Kerala for permission to kill rabid stray dogs. It transferred the individual cases on stray dog attacks to the high court. The SC shall hear in detail the policy matters on controlling the population of stray dogs in Kerala, in February next year. The SC further said that the petitioners can approach the High Court's of India on cases of cruelty against the animal due to violation of rules. Also SC ordered the animal welfare department to report the number of stray dog attacks (dog bites) in the country in the past seven years.
lets hope the Supreme Court will get the real picture of dog bites. Because the majority of the dog bite cases are erroneous and include scratches by stray dogs. The municipal corporations and govt veterinarians have created so much of fear in the minds of the common man of India that stray dogs are rabid and any bite or scratch by a dog may lead to rabies so go to the nearest hospital and get yourself vaccinated. They have made no distinction between a healthy dog and a rabid dog. Also they have made no distinction between vaccinated dog and non vaccinated dog.
Also in majority of the cases stray dogs have bitten out of provocation. The victims often are bitten on their leg because they try to shoo the dog away with their legs and then out of fear and self defence the dog bites. A normal and a healthy stray dog will never bite. There are plethora of researches which validate this point. Let's hope the honourable judges of the Supreme Court keep all these points in mind and not get swayed by the fictitious and erroneous numbers of dog bites given by the Animal Welfare dept. If only these departments had actually worked for the animal welfare then such an ugly scenario would have never occurred. The Indian stray dog unfortunately has become a victim of a fractured and brainless animal sector of India. It is they who could neither implement the ABC program well nor make Indian canine rabies free. Rather their policies is leading to canine free India. They are blaming again the poor voiceless dogs for their incompetence and failure.
The Supreme Court of India has bestowed a huge responsibility on the shoulders of the high courts of India. Let's hope our high courts will always do justice with our Indian dogs. They shall punish the guilty who take law into their hands and kill innocent, voiceless and helpless dogs of India.

The researchers say that criminal minds start evolving from childhood and their initial victims are mute animals like dogs, cats, rats etc.....
Ofcourse later as adults their victims become humans.
In the most outrageous case which is a rarity two women were butchered to death by a couple (husband and wife) along with a male accomplice. The three made human sacrifices of two women as part of a ritual to gain some benefit like prosperity, wealth, children etc ...it's called black magic.
