Nothing can be more shameful and disgusting than what happened in Rohini, Delhi. A team of police went to investigate a robbery which took place in a house. They took along their own dog which was a pittbull. Apparently the house they were investigating had a pet dog. The police left their dog to fight with the pet dog. The pet dog was attacked and bitten by the pitbull. While the police found the whole incident quite entertaining and amusing the family of the pet dog were crying and begging for the life of their dog. Kindky go on the link below to watch the cruelty and dirty minds of these personnel who just don't deserve to be in the police force.

The police is responsible for the safety of the caregivers and the dogs of India. If this is the face of the police which is suppose to protect the Inhabitants of the capital of India then one can well imagine what it must like for other parts of India.

A caregiver Neelam who lives alone in Prahladpur Delhi is being tortured daily along with her furry friends. She has kept five dogs inside her house and she feeds the rest who stay on the streets. It's winter time in Delhi and is freezing. The caregivers often put warm blankets and jute sacks for their friends wherever their friends live. Neelam too did the same but her own neighbors threw cold water on dogs and their bedding. They have been doing this repeatedly bit on Tuesday they threw away all the blankets and also manhandled Neelam. Neelam did call the police but the police was also unable to do anything. Kindky go on the link below to see how tortured and harassed this single brave lady is.....

Does Delhi police and its personnel have the will to help dogs of Delhi and its caregivers???

Because if there is a will there is a way. Unfortunately there seems to be no will...

Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh is yet again in news. The sterilization of dogs has become more a means of making money rather than welfare of dogs. The doctor who was charged with cruel practice earlier has now again been entrusted with the job of dog sterilization. The van which is going to pick the dogs has no number plate on it and to hide its identity they have blackened the words  on it. This is indeed a money making body who is neither worried about dogs nor their welfare. They are only bothered about the money they will get from the municipal corporation for the dogs sterilized. More the number more the money.

Why should such doctors be given license by the municipal corporations. They should actually be blacklisted

A video shows how a young lad is torturing a hen and finding it very amusing. When an animal rights activist told him this is cruelty the boy just laughed at her. He didn't find this cruel.

The bill for Amending animal laws has already been introduced in the Parliament.

Well increasing penalties and punishments will definitely help in getting justice for these voiceless souls but is that the real problem in India? Will increasing penalties change the mindset of the people of India towards dogs?

First and foremost there is a need to change the mindset of our law enforcement agencies. Laws can only be implemented if the police implements them with full honesty.

Does the Indian police find dog cruelty a crime?????

Secondly animal compassion and dog behaviour should be introduced as compulsory subject in all schools and colleges.

Unless young minds are told that animals too feel pain the same way as we do and they too need food and water to survive. And no dog bites without provocation and all they need is love the young of India will keep indulging in such cruelties.

And Lasly the municipal corporations have to create awareness about dog rules 2001 (ABC program). Getting the dogs sterilized and vaccinated by roping in the caregivers is the only workable solution. The random and complaint centric approach which they use for ABC program has to be replaced by a more systematic and humane approach.

The myths attached with stray dogs and rabies needs to be busted. Even today many in India kill dogs,  beat them and relocate them because they fear that a bite from a dog will infect them with rabies. The govt needs to start massive dog vaccination program. This is the only way to make India 100 percent canine rabies free.

The cruelty against dogs in India is man made. And it is only man who can rectify it. Poor dogs are only paying a heavy price for our faults.
