A video has gone viral where a reporter of BBN (Bharat Breaking News ) is going from one house to another in Patel Nagar, Hisaar in Haryana talking to the residents of the colony regarding a dog who has terrified the entire colony. According to the residents the dog chases bikes. Pounces on children sitting on the bike and the night before attacked a lady while she was taking rounds in the park. According to the residents people here have stopped coming out of their homes and stopped going to the park because of the dog They have made several complaints to the municipal corporation, the police, the councillor and the mayor but till now no action has been taken against the dog. They have only got false assurances from the administration.
In the video we do hear one gentleman saying that the dog does not bite one of residents and it seems they have no problem with the dog because they give him roti (chappati). Well the reporter did not bother to interview that gentleman because his intention was very clear. He was just busy in maligning the administration and the poor dog. He went to the extent of calling the commissioner corrupt. The reporter kept saying that the govt is useless because they could not even get a dog removed from the area. According to him the dog was rabid and he may have bitten other dogs too so they too need to be removed from the area. The corporation van too came to pick up the dog.
Watch the video to see how ignorant both the reporter and the educated and well to do residents of Patel Nagar are regarding dog rules and dog behaviour

The reporter has tried to sensationalize the whole issue which he has succeeded well in doing but this only speaks of his lack of awareness about dog rules and dog behaviour. The dog which is portrayed as a lion in the video can be seen hiding behind the car. He seems more terrified and in fear than these human residents. The reporter and the residents of Patel Nagar need to know the following:
According to dog rules
1 Only rabid dogs can be removed from their place
The dog in this case is not rabid as he does not attack or bite people who feed him and nor are the people who feed him are scared of him. We can hear this in the video. Wish the reporter had done an unbiased journalism which is the duty of every journalist.
2 Only an unsterilized dog can be removed from its place and once sterilized he has to be dropped back to its original location.
Well if the dog is not sterilized then the municipal corporation should pick up the dog and get him sterilized and vaccinated against rabies and then drop him back to his original location. Provided Hussar municipal corporation is running the ABC program???????????
3 If a dog is biting or is aggressive then the least the corporation can do is to give him.rabies vaccination. In case he ever bites which he may seeing the hostile environment he is living in, then the human victim will be safe and will not get rabies. Because a bite of a rabid animal only can cause rabies in humans. A bite from a normal and healthy dog will not infect any human with rabies.
And last but not the least it's high time our corporations started an awareness campaign in every nook and corner of India about the ABC program, dog rules and dog behaviour.
Why is it that a single dog is friendly with those who feed him and bites all the others????
Wish the news channel BBN had created awareness about dog rules rather than showing how ignorant and misinformed people of Patel Nagar, Hissar are and then on top of it supporting such people and further spreading venom and hatred in the minds of people of India which is already on a rise.
The reporter at the end signed off saying I won't leave the place until the dog is removed from this place....
This is the height of irresponsible journalism. The reporter is demanding the administration to flout the dog rules
The residents obviously are totally ignorant about dog rules and dog behaviour. Wonder why hasn't the municipal corporation, the local mayor, police and the councillor not told them about these very important rules. God knows why has the administration in the very first place gave them false hope of getting the dog removed?
Is it really the fault of the residents of Patel Nagar?
For majoirity of the Indians stray dogs are rabid. Their first reaction when they see a stray dog is to shoo the dog away........unfortunately the govt too has done nothing to bring the right kind of awareness.
Will BBN cover these news and ask for the culprits to be punished?

The incident of Hisaar shows the true picture of India. It shows how the most educated are absolutely ignorant about dog rules and the ABC program.. And such reporters who know nothing about rabies or a rabid dog are only spreading venom against dogs in the minds of people of India. A rabid dog would have never hidden himself under a car or fled when the corporation workers tried to catch him which in this case the dog was doing. Also a dog infected by rabies would be dead by now. These people are trying to get him caught for mire than twenty days now. Did they try to find out why the dog us biting and chasing people. Probably he us being provoked all the time. . The reporter has been most irresponsible in his reporting and has only given wrong information to the public of India. .And on top of it he has called a govt official.corruot and inefficient for the simple reason that the commissioner did not succumb to the pressure of the residents of Patel Nagar. This is indeed shameful. Officers who folow rules are called corrupt by such journalists. God save india from such journalism and such journalists.
