Vasant Vihar is one of poshest localities in South Delhi. Most of the who is who of India have their residences here.  A case of dog cruelty has been reported from here. A man held an old female dog  by her back legs and then smashed her head against a wall that too several times till she was half dead. Before smashing her the monster hit her head with a wooden stick.

The dog has a broken neck and her right eye and nose are injured badly. The survival rate of the dog is minimal. The doctors say that the dog was empty stomach and had not eaten anything for 4 / 5 days. Inspite of there being a witness no FIR has been lodged against the culprit. Kanchan Gill (M-91 88007 46369) the Director of the NGO who rescued the dog and is fighting for justice is having trouble in getting the FIR lodged. The police is just not cooperating with her.

Well this  is what happens when cruelty cases happen in posh areas: Justice often becomes a dream .....

Just imagine a colony which houses the rich and the famous of India. Right from business tycoons, politicians, journalists to actors. If  these people do not have two square meal and compassion for the street dogs of their area then who will? And to top it all this is the kind of lawlessness that prevails in this posh colony. Isn't this shameless.
