Bengal is the land of revolutionary thinkers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy and poets like Rabindra Nath Tagore the first Indian nobel laureate. It is also the land of spiritual leaders like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Rama Krishna Paramhans. It also happens to be the headquarter of Missionaries of Charity the institution which was established by Mother Teresa also a Nobel laureate for peace. She dedicated her whole life in the service of poor, disabled and sick that too in Calcutta.
It's a real shame that a state which has such a glorious past and had such eminent personalities who brought positive reforms in the Indian society is today turning into an uncivilised and barbaric state. Where people kill animals and find joy in it.
