How many more dog cruelty and caregiver harassment will make the central government and the various state governments of India wake up from their deep sleep?
Few young boys from Siliguri, West Bengal have beaten up a dog with a bamboo stick and broken his jaw. The dog's tongue too has been cut from the middle (pic in the post). The dog is in a lot of pain. Don't know if he will survive. If this is the kind of youth schools and colleges of India are producing then God alone can save this country.

When will schools and colleges in India teach students compassion towards animals especially dogs and when will our central govt amend animal laws and make them stricter?
A woman caregiver in Sonipat, Haryana was physically assaulted by her own neighbours for feeding dogs. It was not only women but also men who assaulted her. The police and administration has taken no action against the culprits in spite of the evidence. The lady is being harassed by her neighbours for more than a year now and the police is a party to it. It was after the intervention of the PFA founder and former Union minister Maneka Gandhi that an FIR was lodged but till date the police has taken no action. In Mumbai a Professor's family has been harassed, abused and assaulted for feeding the dogs. The family is so disgusted with their neighbourhood that they want to now leave their home and shift elsewhere. For details kindly go on the link below:
Just wonder what kind of ABC program is being run in India for the last 20 years? And what kind of awareness has been made regarding dog rules. The municipalities across India have failed both the dogs and their caregivers. Relocation of dogs is an offence but every colony wants to get the dogs removed. They have no idea about sterilisation or how feeders help in getting the dogs friendly by giving them food and then in getting them picked for sterilisation and vaccination. Who will tell the people of India the importance of dog feeders?
The caregivers right from less educated to the most educated are facing the same fate. The fate of hatred, abuses, harassment and physical assaults. And for what?
For being kind to the man's best friend.
One can well imagine what will these human monsters be doing to the dogs if their caregivers are not around. And then they complain about dog biting them.
Central govt and the ministry of fisheries and animal husbandry and Dairying need to wake up. They have to realize that the animals belong of this country and the caregivers who are being tortured and abused for being kind to animals need to be protected. They have to strengthen the animal laws and implement them in full honesty. The police across India have to save the caregivers and the animals.
The Haryana Govt and the women commission should immediately give protection to the woman caregiver who was beaten up by both men and women in broad day light. The lady is not a thief nor a murderer. She was beaten and insulted for an act of kindness.
This is called Kalyug.
