Relocation of dogs is a perennial problem in the capital of India. This is the very first option used by the majority of Indians to tackle the dog population. This time it was three dogs who were relocated. Two young boys of Kalyanpuri, East Delhi tied the legs of three dogs and took them to the garbage bin of Gazipur which is roughly 2 to 3 kilometers from Kalyanpuri. The dogs were dumped in the garbage bin to die.
Later in the day when the caregiver Arpita came to know of it she along with two other volunteers Samyak and Shanti (M+918929307936) went in search of dogs. The boys who had relocated the dogs when confronted by the caregivers revealed the location of the dogs. The caregivers without wasting anytime went to the location. It was already dark as night had fallen. The caregivers had no hopes of finding the dogs but to their joy the dogs were still in the garbage bin. The caregivers quickly hugged the dogs and cuddled them in their arms (pic in the post).
When the caregivers asked why the boys had relocated the dogs they said it was because they poop near their house. How intolerant the human being has become? These dogs had never bitten anybody and yet they were relocated. And the reason was their poop. How disgusting. The caregivers have threatened them of police action if next time they are found indulging in such an act.
The dogs were so innocent and friendly that they allowed the two nasty boys to tie their legs with ropes and then dump them to a remote location.
When will the Delhi Govt and the Municipality create awareness amongst the common man that relocation, beating, kicking and killing of dogs is a punishable offences??????
These dogs were lucky because they had caregivers who took the pains to find them and bring them back but just how many dogs of Delhi are that lucky?????
How many more dogs will become victim of such human cruelty,?
How long will the caregivers suffer because of ignorance of common man about dog laws?
It's time the Delhi Govt and the MCD took some positive measures and create awareness......
