A puppy was mercilessly beaten to death in front of his mother by a barbaric man in Porbandar in Gujarat which also happens to be the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. An FIR against the culprit was made by Akash Ramilaben Chavda a founder of an animal welfare organization named Darshana Animal Welfare Foundation which he started three years ago. He is barely 25 years old but he has build two hospitals too for the animaks with ICU facility.

According Akash the accused Rahul Velja Chavda (the man in the pic) is an engineer by profession. He was arrested and now on bail but Akash is hell bent to see that justice is delivered to both the dead puppy and his helpless and traumatised mother. Rahul has got suspended from his job. This indeed is a very good move. And for that the credit goes both to Akash and Rahul's employer who has suspended Rahul for indulging in this inhuman act. Employees like Rahul are a threat to law and order and humanity in any organization they work for. Such steps should be taken by all the organizations against those employees who indulge in acts of killing, beating or torturing animals. Unless these criminals are deprived of financial benefits they just wont learn to respect law.
Akash has throughout the case got the cooperation and support of PFA team and the PFA founder and former Union minister Maneka Gandhi to which he is quite thankful.
