This most inhuman act took place in Dehradun in the state of Uttrakhand when a mother and daughter were harassed and the daughter beaten for feeding dogs in their colony. Her mobile phone was also snatched from her hands and smashed to the ground. The two men who are the accused in this gruesome act are  Abhishek Jain, a jeweller by profession  and Sandeep Bhasin who reside in Comet Enclave.  They have also been accused of relocating a female dog on tuesday night and dumping her three pups. These men have been kicking and beating dogs in their colony and threatening the caregivers. One of the injured dogs whose open wounds are a proof of their cruelty is taken daily by the caregivers to the hospital for treatment. The accused is probably covid positive and has been advised home quarantine but just see how this shameful man has quarantined himself. Kindly go on the following link and listen to the woes of the mother and daughter and see the cruelty these monsters have done on a dog:

The prime accused in this case has committed the following offences:

1 Beaten and injured a dog who is undergoing treatment (seen in the video)

2 Relocated a female dog and her pups. It's quite possible that the pups may not be alive

3 Constantly harassing and mentally torturing the caregivers for feeding the dogs of the area

4 Broken the mobile phone of the caregiver by snatching it and smashing it to the ground

5 Beaten the caregiver with a stick who also  happens to be a young woman

6 Violated the guidelines of home quarantine by jeopardizing the lives of others.

But unfortunately the nearest police station didn't find any of the above offences worth an investigation or a complaint. The caregivers Monica and Harshita have received no police help. If not for dogs the least the police of Uttrakhand could do was arrest the man for raising hand on a lady and smashing her mobile phone on the ground. Forget about arresting they didn't even visit the place and lodge a complaint against the two monsters.

Just few days back a lawyer in Dehradun was found killing a dog in his home.

Dehradun is now becoming a new hub of dog cruelty and the police as usual does not find this a crime. They do nothing.

Such inhuman incidents makes ones heart sink but then few good gestures by few men bring back hope in humanity.

For the last 7 years N.Bhaskar has been working as an auto driver in the city of Chennai. Like all the other daily wage earners Bhaskar too was hit hard due to lockdown as there was no work but such an economic crisis didn't stop him from feeding the stray dogs. For past three years he has been feeding stray dogs at three locations in the city after 7:30 PM in the evening. He used to also help in rescuing sick and injured dogs. The caregivers of his area use his service to take the dogs to the hospital. Bhaskar just doesnt mind his auto being soaked in blood and urine which normally happens when an accident victim is taken in his vehicle.

Dogs often meet with road accidents and are left to die on the streets of India. Very rarely any auto or a cab driver takes the injured dog in his vehicle. The caregivers have to either take the injured and sick dogs in their own vehicles or call an animal ambulance which are very few in number or just helplessly watch the dog die on the streets.

Bhaskar the 41 year old man has now started a pet auto service from 1st June 2020. He has combined his passion to help the street animals with his profession. And he is just loving it. Kindly go on the following link to read about the good work Bhaskar is doing. India needs more cab drivers and auto drivers like Bhaskar:

When will the govt machinery start taking measures and steps like Bhaskar to protect the man's best friend in India?

What for are the animal laws in India when the administration doesn't want to follow them?

This hide and seek with animal laws is just not acceptable. Either scrap the laws completely and become China or abide by laws and bring justice to the victims.
