This is a sad and heart wrenching story of Rajesh Paswan and his furry friend Kaloo. On 24th April 2020 Uday Raj who runs a Sainik Nursery Sankar Madan Hanuman Mandir Akhada, hit Kaloo with sticks. He kept on hitting the dog on his head till he collapsed with an unbearable pain. Rajesh took Kaloo to the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, where the doctors declared him dead. They carried out the postmortem and found internal hemorrhage as the cause of his death.
Rajesh went with the postmortem report and wrote a complaint against Uday Raj at the Inder Puri police station, Loha Mandi, New Delhi 110012. According to the reporter Hari (M- 8750007111) it's been 10 days now and no police action has been taken against Uday. The culprit is still roaming freely. Even though Rajesh has mentioned about filing an FIR but it seems it's just a complaint on a sheet of paper and not an FIR.
The accused has done a cold blooded murder of an animal who as per law cannot be tortured in anyway. There is a witness and there is a postmortem report and the dead body. What more proof does the Delhi police require to lodge an FIR if in case it has still not been made and arrest the criminal?
To watch the pain of Kaloo and the helplessness of Rajesh Paswan kindly go to the link below. The accused should have been arrested on day one itself. Why hasn't the police taken any action one fails to understand.

If in the city of Delhi criminals roam freely and the victims watch them helplessly then God only save India.
Animal Welfare Board of India, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandary and Dairying and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change are suppose to be the custodians of animals in India. They should have ensured their safety and protection. But does it look like?
Had lawyers, judges and NGO like PFA not been there the man's best friend would have been wiped off from many cities of India long back.
To make people aware about animal laws is the job of the animal welfare board and ministries related with animal welfare and the municipal corporations. But does it look that they are they doing their duty? Had they done their duty towards the animals of India, the caregivers and the animals would not have been in such a helpless situation.
Ether scrap all the animal laws of India and let the animals die or implement the laws in true spirit.
Why have a hypocritical stand?Laws only in books but not in practice.
Unfortunately this is the bitter reality of animal laws in India.
