Chinese are being criticised for killing all kinds of animals right from snakes to dogs and eating them in the most cruel and atrocious manner but what about Indians. Are they any better? Let's see.
The following incidents are post lockdown after 22nd March 2020.
1.) A dog was beaten up so badly that he is permanenty paralyzed from the back

2.) This incident has taken place on 25th March 2020. A car driver very ruthlessly ran over a sleeping dog. The driver could have easily stopped the car but crushing the dog seemed more viable and may be thrilling to the driver.

3.):In this incident the residents of a posh apartment have thrown away water from the bowls kept by a caregiver for the dogs and birds in the society. After watching the video three things come out very strongly. First that no one in India knows about dog laws. Whenever people find a caregiver feedng the dogs their first reaction is to get the feeder stopped from feeding and then get the dog removed or relocated from the area. Second, they have a fear that dogs may infect them with Corona virus. The BMC (Mumbai Municipal Corporation) had few days back put huge hoardings telling people that cats and dogs infect people with Corona virus but after getting them removed did they come out with fresh hoardings saying that dogs and cats do not spread Corona virus? Have they compensated for the damage made,? Corporations all over India just keep tarnishing the image of dogs and later don't do anything to clear up the image. We have seen the same thing happening in Delhi. And third, that people have no heart for the voiceless.

4.) Delhi has been locked down since 22nd March 2020 and it has many pet shops. One such pet market is in old Delhi right across the red fort. The owner of this shop had some mice and birds in the shop. After lockdown he just didn't bother to take them home. It was Ambika Shukla of SGACC (Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre) who interved and with the help of the Delhi police got the shop opened and rescued all the animals. The animals were living in the shop post lockdown without food and water. This is the kind of owners we have in India. They have kept animals just for making money. They are least bothered whether the animals live or die.
5.) In another incident five puppies were relocated by Rajeev Goel a resident of Kamla Nagar, Delhi. The caregiver Ankur Gupta lodged a police complaint (the pic in this post) and when the puppies were found Rajeev wrote and signed an apology letter. But that was just an eye wash. This man without any fear of law is again threatening to either relocate or kill the puppies. The following message was posted on social media by caregiver Ankur Gupta (M- 9899464624)
"Though that person has written this apology letter but even after writing that he’s saying he’ll not let the puppies live there.. either he’ll relocate them or will poison them,".
Well this is how Indians are treating the four legged friend during lockdown. This is the way lockdown is being adhered to by many in India. Such people should not only be punished for breaking animal laws but also for risking many lives due the spread of Corona virus.
The main purpose for a lockdown is being defeated by such people.
After seeing such act of violence and crime against animals by humans Corona virus seems quite justified.
It looks as if Corona virus is a weapon sent by nature to protect the animals against man. While the animals are freely moving around without the fear of Corona, man on the other hand has locked himself inside to protect himself from Corona virus.
Is this the law of KARMA? What you sow, so you reap.
It's still not too late. Man can still improve his ways and the least that our governments could do both at the centre and at the state level is to make public aware that dogs and cats do not spread Corona virus into humans.
The AWBI had already sent a letter to all the states but neither the stare govermnents nor their corporations thought it appropriate to reveal and sensitize people about this very important information.
Due to Sheer ignorance people are abandoning dogs, killing them, relocating them, beating them and poisoning them.
If the government had the will it would have stopped all this long back. Even now it's not too late.....
