Chief Minister of Delhi
Dear Sir,
The last time I wrote to you it was 1st of January. It's been almost a month now but I have not received any communication from you or your staff.
The petition on change.org was started a couple of months back and not a day goes by when we don't see a post of dog cruelty happening in the city of Delhi.
We have stray dog laws which are openly being floured both by the most educated to the illiterate in India including sometimes by the corporation.
The dogs and the caregivers are constantly living in fear in the city of Delhi.
Are dogs and the ABC programme so scary that you can't take out even few minutes from your busy schedule and look into this very grave problem? What is stopping you from meeting the caregivers and bringing the rightful change in the system?
Isn't this an important issue which requires your involvement?
Crime against dogs is increasing day by day. Cases of relocation and dog removal hasn't dropped at all. People are still busy relocating the dogs. This is absolutely illegal but it's happening.
The caregivers are sick and tired of fighting and opposing this most wicked and cruel act.
Relocation and killing of dogs can never help in curtailing dog overpopulation or canine rabies.
We need just small reforms in the way the ABC programme is being governed. And for that we need governments involvement and the political will which unfortunately is completely missing not only in Delhi but the whole of India.
Ideally we need to bring a change in the whole of India but let's make a start at least in Delhi which is the heart of India.
Kindly spare few minutes from your busy schedule and give us time to interact with you.
Best regards,
Anu
