A male dog from Mayur Vihar Extension near the Metro Station was picked up a few days back for Sterilization. He was dropped back on 10th morning but his stitches are open. They have not healed. (Reporter - M-9891662656)
Thank God the dog has caregivers who quickly noticed the open stitches and taken medical help for the dog. According to the caregivers the dog was taken to the Usmanpur centre in East Delhi for sterilization.
Such centres should be shut down. Why are they running if they cannot even check the condition of the dog properly before releasing them. Why are they releasing them to die on the streets of Delhi?
Is the municipal corporation maintaining a record of the dead dogs who are dying due to their negligence?
Most probably not. They must be just maintaining the record of the number of dogs sterilized.
This dog is lucky that he has caregivers who are taking care of him.
But unfortunately not all stray dogs have caregivers and if this is the way Sterilization takes place then God alone can save the dogs of Delhi.
Just few days back two female dogs died post Sterilization again due to the negligence of the sterilization centre. They died of open stitches. This happened in South Delhi area.
Was any action taken against the Sterilization centre?
Will the municipal corporation take any strict action against centres who are releasing dogs in such a manner to die on the roads of Delhi?
Please shut down such centres who are probably there only to make money.
